Sabai means relaxed and at ease

A small Thai massage studio on East 43rd Street, a few minutes from Grand Central, opening in October 2026.

Herbal tea, a cool towel and a lotus waiting on a wooden counter

Why we opened here

Thousands of people pass through Grand Central every day, rushing between trains, offices and hotels. We wanted to give them somewhere close by to stop for an hour, in a quiet private suite, and walk back out into Midtown feeling lighter.

Sabai Thai Spa comes from the same family as two Thai massage studios that have looked after New Yorkers in Midtown for years. The name is new, the care is not.

How we work

  • Thai technique first. Stretching, acupressure and rhythmic pressure from the Thai tradition, alongside the oil massages New Yorkers love.
  • Your session, your pressure. We ask before we start and keep asking. You can change anything at any time.
  • Clear prices. One price per session, shown before you book. No surprise extras.
  • Only real reviews. In our app, only guests who actually visited and paid can leave a review.

The lotus, the water and the gold

The lotus, the water and the gold. The lotus rises clean from still water, the Thai picture of calm. The lacquer-blue line is water that never stops flowing, and gold is the color of good fortune. Together they wish every guest calm, luck and prosperity that keep flowing.
