A massage for the mind as much as the body

Aromatherapy massage follows the flowing style of a Swedish massage, with one difference that changes the whole hour: the oil is blended with essential oils you choose at the start. The scent fills the room, and many guests find they relax faster and more deeply than with an unscented massage.

Choosing your oil

Before your session your therapist offers a few blends to smell. We keep the choice simple:

Calm: soft floral notes for an evening wind-down.
Refresh: bright citrus and herbal notes for a lunch break.
Breathe: clean, cooling notes for a heavy, stuffy day.

The exact oils on the shelf can change with the season, and your therapist will tell you what is in each blend. Pick by smell. There is no wrong answer.

Who it suits

Aromatherapy is a good choice for stress, a busy head, poor sleep, or simply treating yourself. It is also a lovely way to mark a birthday or a hard week finished.

Please tell us first if…

You have allergies or sensitive skin, asthma, migraines triggered by scent, or you are pregnant. Some essential oils are not suitable in these cases. We can use an unscented oil instead, or suggest a different massage.

Make it a package

The Harmony package combines a 90-minute aromatherapy massage with 30 minutes of focused back and shoulder work for $259. It is the most popular way to spend two hours here.

Questions

Can I bring my own oil?

Please ask when you book. For skin safety we normally use our own blends.

What if I am sensitive to scents?

Tell us. We can use a very light blend or an unscented oil, or suggest Swedish massage instead.

Is aromatherapy pressure light?

It is usually gentle to medium. You can ask for firmer work on any area.
